It sounds ambitious, but also with a lack of respect. I don't see the Killers replace them. I do see Coldplay doing so, but the Killers? Naaah...
On the other hand, I don't see U2 making music for another 10 years. I even think there next album after this new one will be their last. Also remembering their contract with LiveNation until 2012.

this is not the first time brandon flowers has said something stupid. he also called out fall out boy and panic at the disco for riding the success of the killers. kinda hard for FOB to create a record based on the success of hot fuss if their debut came out a year before hot fuss. also, if he wants to believe that, he wants to take credit for starting the emo trend in music? so mr flowers make your choice:
