just listening to Violet Hill the whole way through for the first time. its not bad at all. i like it. anyone else think that the guitar solo sucks though? pity. pretty good song and id say the album will be 2.everyone lookin forward to it? doesnt look like it'll beat Accelerate to the album of the year. dare i say it but i dont think even new U2 album in October could stop that...........

What an awful video. I'm not saying that just as a U2 fan--this is actually the only Coldplay song I like. But realy--U2Nick, you're exactly right, it's ZooTV, almost down to the exact image. The stop-motion bits make it look like Joe Whoever with a YouTube account made it on their own computer. Really, really disappointing for a good song, in my opinion.

Have you listened to the Accelerate the whole way through? sorry im very biased here but it's R.E.M. at they're very best! it's an amazing album. U2 are probly gonna produce something really special too though.

But it on through a good set of speakers and turn it up really loud. yeh it's up tempo rock but its R.E.M. in the same way that no matter what the comparisions, no one else really sounds like U2, no one sounds like R.E.M. like U2 they have a very distinctive sound. and 2 very talent and original vocalists in Bono and Micheal.

Agreed. Nobody else can sound like Micheal. Edge beats Bono though

I'll listen to it again later tonight. Its not a bad album, don't get me wrong, I think its great, but I think they have had a few better songs.
