On the silver side of the CD, close to the barcode and Matrix number.
I don't know if all versions have it, though.

well just checked the singles...no messages on any of them...dvd singles contain the name of those who made them and the u2 .com releases have u2.com printed on them ..thats all ive found so far...any ideas on what it means or who it refers to??
